Refresh Rate Test - Check Browser Frame Cadence

Estimate the cadence delivered to this visible browser tab and review median frame time, p95 frame time, long intervals, and confidence.

This tool runs locally in your browser. Your marks, observations, and timing samples are not uploaded.

10-second browser cadence measurement

The test uses animation frame timestamps in the active tab. It does not need a fast-moving visual demo.

10-second measurement

Ready to measure this browser tab

Move this window to the display you want to check, keep the tab visible, and pause unusually heavy background work if possible.

How to read the result

Estimated Hz is based on the median time between browser animation callbacks. The p95 interval shows slower moments, while long intervals highlight callbacks that took much longer than the typical frame.

What this test cannot prove

This test cannot certify panel scanout, variable refresh range, input lag, response time, or frame skipping. A value near 60 Hz can come from display settings, browser behavior, power saving, or the current display path.

Continue with a focused test only when it matches what you are trying to inspect.

Dead Pixel Test

Inspect five solid colors, mark a fixed suspect point, and compare what remains visible.

Backlight Bleed Test

Compare black and near-black fields, then check whether bright areas change with viewing angle.

Stuck Pixel Fixer

Try a bounded, movable color patch only after a test suggests a bright or colored stuck pixel.
